Ashlyn Batten
Ashlyn is a PATH Int’l Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor who has been active in the EAAT field since high school. She began volunteering as a way to spend more time around horses, but quickly grew to love seeing the joy on the students’ faces and decided that this was what she was meant to do. After working with several participants on Ground School activities at her local center, she quickly saw how beneficial and life-changing a curriculum strictly for unmounted activities could be. Ashlyn lives in Greenville, NC, where she splits her time between working in the EAAT field, being a church musician and riding her horses.

Sherri Moore

Sherri, a PATH Int’l Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor, Certified Interactive Vaulting Instructor, Equine Specialist in Mental Health and Learning, Mentor, and Masterson Method Equine Specialist is dedicated to seeing the EAAT field grow. She is a native of Greenville, NC, where she has worked in the EAAT field for two decades. She has watched countless participants be turned away because of contraindications to being able to participate in mounted activities, and decided that there must be a solution to this common problem. She brainstormed ideas, began expanding the Ground School program at her center, and collaborated with a coworker to create this curriculum. Her hope is that this curriculum will provide a new avenue for programs to reach participants and that no one will ever have to be turned away from experiencing what EAAT can offer.
